Private Wealth Advisor — Tampa, FL

Walt Williams has been serving financial needs of successful entrepreneurs, owners of closely held private and family-owned businesses, professionals, and executives for over 20 years.

Walt is analytical by nature having pursued his passion for logic and reasoning by earning his Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech, after which he went to work with the Ford Motor Company in their Advanced Vehicle Engineering Office.  Following his time with Ford, Walt followed his career plan and entered the University of Florida where he earned his MBA with a concentration in finance.

Walt then founded, along with other family members, what became a multi-center auto service firm where he gained valuable first-hand knowledge of the complexities and dynamics of a closely held family business.   During that time, he further expanded his knowledge and experience by serving on trade association boards and education councils. Through these relationships he learned of financial issues that professionals and businesses face as they strive to provide for their families, charities, and themselves.  He realized most individuals are so involved in their daily challenges, financial family goals and protections, all too often take a backseat.  This experience led him to pursue a practice in financial services, becoming passionate about helping families secure their future.

In keeping with his engineering background, he believes financial security starts with a blueprint unique to each family’s needs.  Plans that focus on financial independence, estate, gift, and charitable planning as well as risk management.   Walt is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner.  Registered with FINRA in general securities, licensed in life, and disability insurance in multiple states.

Personally, Walt is dedicated to his family, with children, grand and great-grandchildren. For fun, he’s a member of Sports Car Club of America, the largest amateur auto-racing organization in the country where he has held regional board positions. He and his son enjoy competing in SCCA as well as mountain/trail biking.
